Suzanne Burnett Receives 2019 Leading Women Award

|

Potter Burnett Law is pleased to announce that Suzanne Burnett was selected to receive The Daily Record’s Leading Women award. This award is presented to 50 women each year, who are 40 years of age or younger, for the accomplishments they have made so far in their careers.

A panel of previous Top 100 Women and Leading Women winners selected this year’s honorees based on their professional experience, community involvement and commitment to inspiring change. Apart from representing clients in personal injury matters at Potter Burnett Law, Suzanne is an active member of many organizations.  Notably, Suzanne is the Secretary for the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and was the 2018 recipient of the President’s Award due to her hard work in planning the 2018 AABA Barristers Ball which raised money for veterans.  Suzanne is also involved in fundraising efforts for Anne Arundel County’s Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), which is a program that supports children in the foster care system.  She understands that active and meaningful participation not only in the legal community but in her local community is key to the successful practice of law and a fulfilling career.

“This year’s Leading Women honorees are Maryland’s future. They are professionally successful at a young age and are also committed to making a difference and inspiring change,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “These women are simply extraordinary, and The Daily Record is pleased to honor them.”

This is not the first time Suzanne has been recognized for her accomplished career and young age by The Daily Record.  In 2012, Suzanne was honored as one of the 20 in Their Twenties award recipients.

The 2019 Leading Women awards will be presented Dec. 2 at a reception and dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Westin in Annapolis. Winners will also be profiled in a special magazine that will be inserted into the Dec. 3 issue of The Daily Record and available online at www.TheDailyRecord.com.
