Potter Burnett Law Welcomes New Additions to Their Growing Team

|

Recently, Potter Burnett Law warmly welcomed a new receptionist to their Pride, Melissa Clark.

Originally from Bowie, Maryland, Melissa attended Frostburg State University from where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Melissa was looking for job opportunities after graduating from college when she performed a Google search of law firms in Bowie, and Potter Burnett’s website caught her eye. She continued to keep a close eye on their website until one day, she saw a job opening posted for a receptionist and immediately applied.

Prior to working for Potter Burnett Law, she worked for the Anne Arundel County Circuit Courthouse as well as several retail jobs.

Melissa’s love for people and team-oriented work environments make her a perfect fit for the position.

Potter Burnett also recently promoted Zhane Thomas from receptionist to legal assistant.

Zhane was born in Washington, D.C. and is from southern Prince George’s County. She attended Bowie State University where she majored in Business Information Systems. Prior to joining the Potter Burnett Law team, she did data work as the Center Director of a learning center. In an effort to expand her horizons in a particular area of interest for her, the legal field, she sought employment at a law firm to gain more insight and expand her skill set.

Zhane loves working at Potter Burnett, citing how she appreciates attorneys and paralegals taking extra time to teach her more about the intricacies of their profession.

Teresa McCall has also joined the Potter Burnett Law Pride as a new paralegal.

Teresa is originally from Maryland and graduated from The College of Southern Maryland.

Prior to joining the Potter Burnett team, she spent several years working with a law firm in Bethesda, MD doing medical malpractice defense work and most recently at a law firm in Washington, D.C. supporting their international disputes practice group.

She discovered there was an opening at Potter Burnett Law online after she was furloughed from the Washington, D.C. firm in August. She enjoys utilizing her experience and skills in personal injury litigation to help achieve great outcomes for clients.

Potter Burnett Law is excited about the recent two additions and internal advancement of another dedicated employee. The team looks forward to continued growth, both for the law firm and each and every team member.
